Simple Heart Stitched Pocket

My mother knitted this vest for my daughter. I did my part by crocheting the heart cross stitched pocket for it. Here is the simplest, beginner friendly free crochet pattern for Simple Heart Stitched Pocket. Hope you like it. God bless you 🙇


The pattern is written in US terms. I used a DK weight yarn and a 3 mm hook. The pocket measures 12.5 cm X 10 cm. Enjoy ♥


Foundation: ch 11, 
Row 1: 2 sc in 2nd ch from the hook, sc in each st, 2 sc in last st. (12)
Round 2:ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, 2 sc in last st (14)
Row 3: ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, 2 sc in last st (16)
Row 4: ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, 2 sc in last st (18)
Row 5: ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, 2 sc in last st (20)
Row 6: ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, 2 sc in last st (22)
Row 7: ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, 2 sc in last st (24)
Row 8: ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across, 2 sc in last st (26)

Use this chart below to cross stitch the heart on the pocket. You can either cross stitch the heart shape straight or slanted. To get a straight looking pocket, hold it facing you straight, fold it in half to find the middle stitch and start cross stitching from bottom to up amd from left to right.
