Lilly Winter Puppy Sweater

When you are crocheting for your pet, you need to consider especially his/her comfort in first place. So think of this sweater pattern as a stitch pattern, this is only an example of how it fits and looks on my dog. It is made by using front post double crochet and back post double crochet techniques. Therefore I can say it is a very easy pattern and just adjust your measurements according to your pet's sizes.

Ribbing (Neck part)

With one skein of yarn and 3.0 mm hook

Chain 8

R 1 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. Turn. 7

R 2-30 BLO CH 1, turn sc 7. Repeat.

BODY
Now with a size 5.0 mm hook with holding 2 skeins of yarn sc evenly around the ribbing.(30)

R1 Ch up 3, DC in each st around ss to the top of the beg ch3 (30)

R 2 CH3, FPDC in 1 dc, BPDC in send dc, repeat around alternating

R 3-9 Repeat R 2. Be careful about your stitches. Make sure you make a front post Double crochet on a front post double crochet.

R 10 Kepp repeating your front and back post double crochets and depending on your puppy or cat’s measurements leave two holes for their feet. I chained 10 AND SKİPPED 6 DC for my puppy leaving 10 dc between her legs.

R 11 Repeat R 2, when you get to the chain part of the legs just do double crochets in those chain stitches.

R 12- 30 Repeat R 2

FASTEN OFF WEAVE İN ALL ENDS.
