Hook size 2, and baby soft yarn.
Work over yarn tails whenever possible to avoid having to weave in so many ends.

Round 1: mr,
ch 2 in magic ring (beg ch-2 does NOT count as a st, throughout), 12 dc in
ring, sl st in beg dc to join. (12 sts)

Round 2: Ch 2, dc in same st, 2 dc in ea st around, dc in joining sl st of last rnd, sl st in beg dc to join.
(24 sts)

Round 3: CHANGE COLOR. CH4, DC İN SAME ST (A V-Stitch (v-st).skip next st, (v-st in next st, skip next st) around; join. (12 v-sts)

Round 4: Change color and join your yarn to any ch-1 sp,ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, dc in sp between next 2 v-sts, (3 dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in sp between next 2 v-sts) around; join.

Round 5: Ch 2, dc in same st, (2 dc in next st, dc in next) around to last st, dc in last st, dc2tog in same st
and joining sl st of last rnd, sl st in beg dc to join.

Now at this point depending on the hook and yarn you are using you can add one one round of DC. This is why I don't write the st count. In my project I have 62 DC on round 5.

Round 6: Working in back lps only, ch 3, dc in each st around; join.

Round 7: Working in both lps, ch 3, dc in each st around.

Round 8: join a different color yarn with sl st to any dc, ch 4, skip next 2 sts, (v-st in next st, skip next 2 sts) around; join. (16 v-sts) Finish off and weave in ends. (I have 31 v sts here in total)

Round 9: Join main color, ch3 and dc in same st, dc2 tog all around,

Round 10: Ch3, DC in next st,and around,

Round 11: Ch4 and Dc in same st, skip next 2 sts, (v-st in next st, skip next 2 sts) around; join.

Lilly Winter Puppy Sweater

When you are crocheting for your pet, you need to consider especially his/her comfort in first place. So think of this sweater pattern as a stitch pattern, this is only an example of how it fits and looks on my dog. It is made by using front post double crochet and back post double crochet techniques. Therefore I can say it is a very easy pattern and just adjust your measurements according to your pet's sizes.
