Back side
Make a slip knot and ch 4, insert hook into the 1st ch and join with a sl st to 1st ch st to make a circle.
Rnd 1: With purple color – Ch 5, working into the ring make 3 dc, ch 2 (This will become your corner space) , 3 dc into the ring, ch 2, 3 dc into the ring, ch 2, 2 dc into the ring, join using a sl into the third ch of the beg ch 5.
Rnd 2: With pink color – Ch 3, [2 dc into the corner space, ch 2, 2 dc into the corner space, 5 dc into each of the dc below], repeat for next 2 sides. After the 2 dc in the last corner, make 2 dc into the dc below, sl st into the 3rd ch of the beg ch 3.
Rnd 3: With yellow color ch 3, dc 4, ch 2, (dc 11, ch 2) 3 times, dc 6, sl st into initial 3rd ch to join.
Rnd 4: With light pink – ch 3, dc 6, ch 2, (dc 15, ch 2) 3 times, dc 8, sl st into initial 3rd ch to join.
Rnd 5: With turqoise color- Ch 3, 6 dc into each of the dc below, repeat 2 more times. After the 2 dc in the last corner, make 8 dc into the dc below, join using a sl into the 3rd ch of the beg ch 3.
Rnd 6: With orange color - Ch 3, 8 dc into each of the dc below, repeat for next 2 sides. After the 2 dc in the last corner, make 10dc into the dc below, Sl st into the 3rd ch of the beg ch 3.
Rnd 7: With green color – Ch 3, 10 dc into each of the dc below, [2 dc into the corner space, ch 2, 2 dc into the corner space, 23 dc into each of the dc below], repeat pattern for next 2 sides. After the 2 dc in the last corner, make 12dc into the dc below, join using a sl into the third ch from the ch 3 we started the round with. (At this point you shpuld have 27 DC on each side including the 2 dc from each corner)
After tis round I kept using the green color and ı have a total of 11 rounds.
To work more rounds, you'll work the corners the same way in each round, and work the sides by working a dc in each stitch. Dc in each dc from a previous round, and work a set of dc 2, ch 2, dc 2 in each corner ch sp. After finishing with your rounds sc evenly all around with orange color.
Fasten off and weave in any ends.
Sew the squares and the back part together (don't sew all the sides because you are making a bag not a pillow case, I feel like I have to remind this because I have a friend who is like "pre-beginner" 😄 level and needs clear instructions)
Now, Dc evenly with orange color around the opening part your your bag.
Strap
With orange color attach yarn to left side of the bag and make 4 sc into the dc st.
Rnd 1: Ch 6, Dc into the 3rd ch from the hook. Dc in next 3 st (4 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch up 3 and turn, Dc in same st and in next 3 st.
Rnd 3- 65: Repeat rnd 2. and at the last round attach to the other side of the bag with sc from inside the bag.
Back side

Rnd 7: With green color – Ch 3, 10 dc into each of the dc below, [2 dc into the corner space, ch 2, 2 dc into the corner space, 23 dc into each of the dc below], repeat pattern for next 2 sides. After the 2 dc in the last corner, make 12dc into the dc below, join using a sl into the third ch from the ch 3 we started the round with.
