Well, our babies can't wear the same thing everyday, right? So here is a new puppy sweater. This is a free pattern which you can change the number of the rows and stitches to crochet it for a bigger dog or a small cat.The stitch multiple is 2 + 5 for the pattern.

Special Stitches
Mb (mini bean) insert your hook into the stitch, yo and pull up a loop (2 loops on your hook), yo (3 loops on your hook) insert your hook back into the same st, yo and pull up a loop (4 loops on your hook), yo and pull through all 4 loops on your hook.
Exhdc (extended half double crochet) yarn over insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yo (4 loops on your hook) and pull through 1 loop (3 loops left on your hook), yo (4 loops on your hook) and pull through all 3 loops on your hook.
The Ribbing (neck part)
The stitch multiple is 2 + 5 for the pattern so make sure you have that number of rows. Mine is 37...
With holding two skeins of yarn and 3.0 mm hook chain 11
R 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of chain. (10 sc)
R 2-37: CH 1, turn BLO sc 10. Repeat.
Now with a size 5.0 mm hook with holding 3 skeins of yarn sc evenly around the ribbing. (37)
(ı usually hold 2 skeins of yarn together but this time my yarn type was fingering unlike others, therefore we are using 3 skeins but you can change it if necessary)
Body
Rnd 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, ch 1, skip the next ch, *{mb, ch 1, sk the next ch} repeat from * until last ch, hdc into the last, Sl st to first st to join.
Rnd 2: Ch 2, exhdc in the same and in each st across. Sl st to last st to join.
Rnd 3-4: Repeat Row 2.
Rnd 5: Ch 2, hdc in the same, ch 1, sk the next st, *{mb, ch 1, sk the next st} rep from * to last st, hdc in last. Sl st to join.
(at this point I made the leg holes for my puppy. Depending on your puppy or cat’s measurements leave two holes for their feet. I chained 10 and skipped 6 stitches for my puppy leaving 5 dc between her legs, after finishing the sweater I sc around these holes for 5 rounds so they look like tiny sleeves)
Rnd 6-8: Repeat Row 2.
And keep repeating the same pattern sequence until you reach your desired length, Mine has 20 rows.
Star
Make a magic ring,
Rnd 1: ch2, 15 dc into the ring, join with sl st to the first dc.
Rnd 2: *ch 6, (work the following stitches along the ch) sl st in second ch from hook, sc, hdc, dc, dc,sk2dc in the main circle sl st in next dc* Repeat * to * 4 times.
