Round 1: 5 sc in mr (5)

Round 2: inc in each st around (10)

Round 3: [sc, inc]5x (15)

Round 4: [2 sc, inc]5x (20)

Rounds 5-6: sc in each st around (20)

Round 7: [3 sc, dec]4x (16)

Rounds 8-9: sc in each st around (16)

Round 10: [ch 16, sc in 2nd st from hook, sc in nxt 9 ch sts, hdc in nxt 5 ch sts, sk 1 st in round 9, slst in outer lp of nxt st]8x, dec in 1st skipped st and 1st unused inner lp (8 legs)

Round 11: working in skipped sts and unused inner lps, [sc, dec]5x. Adjust number of decreases as needed to get a opening just snug enough the octopus won't easily fall off finger. (15)

Sew eyes to body between rounds 5 and 6 with centers approximately 1.25” apart.
