Lavender Basket

The lavender basket crochet pattern has instructions of how to crochet an oblong bottom, a basket and lavender flowers. Anyone can crochet a basket but I am in love with these lavender flowers. Lavenders can also be used as gift jewelry, design of children's clothes, hair ornaments, decoration for hats, other home decor projects.

Oblong Bottom
Working with single and double crochet stitches give two short and two long sides on each round, making an oblong with rounded corners. Here I write only six rounds but it's easy to see the rhythm of increases and change of stitch height if you want to make a larger oblong piece.

The basket is crocheted with a size 5.0 mm hook and bulky (7wpi) yarn (brand: kartopu zambak). I used a size 2.1 mm hook and sport weight yarn for the lavender part (brand: kartopu amigurumi).

Start by making a magic ring.
Round 1: ch 1, make 10 sc in ring, sl st in first sc. (10 sts)
Round 2: ch 1, 1 sc in same place as sl st. ch 2, 1 dc in same place as sc, 2 dc in next SC, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, 2 dc in each of next 2 sc, rep from * to *, sl st in 2nd ch. (18 sts)
Round 3: ch 1, 1 sc in same place as ss, ch 2, 1 dc in same place as sc, 1 dc in each of next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 2 sc in following sc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * to *, sl st in 2nd ch. (26 sts)
Round 4: ch 1, 1 sc in same place as ss, ch 2, 1 dc in same place as sc, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 5 sc, 2 sc in next SC , 2 dc in next dc, rep from * to *, sl st in 2nd ch of beg. (34 sts)
Round 5: ch 1, 1 sc in same place as sl st, ch 2, 1 dc in same place as sc, * 1 dc in each of next 6 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, 2dc in next dc, rep from * to *, ss in 2nd ch. (42 sts)
Round 6: ch 1, 1 sc in same place as sl st, ch 2, 1 dc in same place as sc, * 1 dc in each of next 8 dc, 2 dc in next dc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 9 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, 2 dc in next dc, rep from * to *, ss in 2nd ch of beg. (50 sts)
This round is a Back Loop Only one.
Round 7: BLO ch 1, sc in same sp and each of next 49 stitches.
Round 8-18:ch 1, sc in same sp and each of next 49 stitches.
Round 19: BLO, sl st in each sc around to give a nice looking finishing touch.

I crocheted lavender plant as an embellishment but ofcourse you can put anything you like on your basket, cross stitching is also an option.

Lavender (make 3 or depending on the size of your basket 5)
Stem
with green color ch 26, working back up the chains sc in 2nd sc from hook and in each of next next 16 ch.
Fasten off and take purple color yarn.
Petals
Attach purple yarn to top tip of the stem.
(sc 1, 2 hdc, ch 1, sc) all in same sp. the tricky part is here that you need to  turn the stem around and make (sc, ch 1, 2 hdc, ch 1, sc) in 2nd st on the opposite side of the stem. you are working down on the stem spirally. Keep crocheting these sets of (sc, ch 1, 2 hdc, ch 1, sc) until the end and fasten off.
With a sewing needle sew the pieces together from where you will put a ribbon on like a bouquet and then sew on the basket neatly.

Lilly Winter Puppy Sweater

When you are crocheting for your pet, you need to consider especially his/her comfort in first place. So think of this sweater pattern as a stitch pattern, this is only an example of how it fits and looks on my dog. It is made by using front post double crochet and back post double crochet techniques. Therefore I can say it is a very easy pattern and just adjust your measurements according to your pet's sizes.
