Maiya Doll and Dino Amigurumi

Maiya is made with sock weight yarn and 2.5 mm hook and is 5.5 inches tall. It’s a quick and easy stash busting project. If you are familiar with basic stitches like sc, hdc and dc, know how to increase and decrease and to work in front/back loops, you’re set to go.

For the dino the pattern is:


BODYR1. Using the lime green yarn: 6 sc (single crochet) in magic ring. (6 sts)
R2. 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sts)
R3. (Sc 1, 2 st in next st) rep 6 times (18 sts)
R4. (Sc 2, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times (24 sts)
R5. (Sc 3, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times (30 sts)
R6. (Sc 4, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times (36 sts)
R7-11. Sc 36 mb (5 rounds)
R12. (Sc 8, 2 sc in next st) rep 4 times (40 sts)
R13-18. Sc 40 mb (6 rounds)
Insert the eyes between the 8° and the 9° round from the start, leaving 8 stitches between one and the another.
Using the embroidery floss moulinè color black to embroider the mouth end the tooth.
R19. (Sc 8, 1 decrease) rep 4 times (36 sts)
R20. (Sc 4, 1 decrease) rep 6 times (30 sts)
R21. (Sc 3, 1 decrease) rep 6 times (24 sts)
R22. (Sc 2, 1 decrease) rep 6 times (18 sts)
Start stuffing
R23. (Sc 1, 1 decrease) rep 6 times (12 sts)
Finish stuffing
R24. (1 decrease) rep 6 times (6 sts)
Fasten off and leave a long end for sewing
PAWSUsing the lime green yarn insert the hook in the stitch 3 rounds below the right eye
R1. 4 chains
R2. Starting from the 2° chain from hook: 1 sc in each stitch (3 sts)
Fasten off and leave a long end for sewing the paw to the body
Repeat a second time to make the other paw.
TAILR1. Using the lime green yarn: 6 sc (single crochet) in magic ring. (6 sts)
R2. (2 sc in next st, 2 sc) rep 2 times (8 sts)
R3. (2 sc in next st, 1 sc) rep 4 times (12 sts)
R4. (2 sc in next st, 2 sc) rep 4 times (16 sts)
R5. (2 sc in next st, 3 sc) rep 4 times (20 sts)
Fasten off and leave a long end for sewing the tail to the body
CHIPSR1. Using the dark green yarn: 22 chains
R2. Starting from the 3° stitch from hook: 1 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc, 1 sl st, (1 sc, 3 dc in the same st, 1 sc, 1 sl st) rep 3 times, 1 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc, 1 sl st.

Using the pins, Put the chips on the Dino’s body, starting from the tail to the head and then sew them firmly.
